Hello! I’m the writer behind Idrisana Mistshade, an illusionist and falconer with a penchant for collecting her sentry’s strange finds. I’ve been playing WoW since vanilla and RPing since Cata. 90% of my characters have been night elves—all on MG—and this will be my first attempt at finding a WrA home for them.
OOC: What about the kaldorei inspires you, and what is your favorite thing about them?
They’re tall, beautiful, and offer a ton of variety. I’ve met graceful priestesses, savage sentinels, haughty Highborne, and personally made every flavor of druid there is. I’ve got characters ranging from 100-13,000 years old, all of them viewing the same historical accounts differently. Inspiration isn’t hard to come by. (Plus, I’m a sucker for nature/magic/moon themes.)
IC: What memory has the most impact on your character's life, and does it drive them today?
Predictably, the Sundering. Idrisana’s aspirations and studies being put on an indefinite pause publicly meant going into hiding and coming up with creative ways to subtlety further her arcane knowledge. She’s a bit of an oddball because of it.
OOC: Describe your dream job or the hobbies you most enjoy and why.
The usual: reading, writing, making and consuming art. I love analyzing and expressing ideas through different forms of media.
IC: What skills can your character teach and do they have any hidden talents?
Idrisana would rather learn than teach, but she’s a fledgling arcanist and bird trainer that works with the wardens/Watchers of Hyjal.
OOC: What personal strengths and weaknesses do you want to develop as a writer?
I often try to steer away from “tragic” backstories, and even if a character of mine does have baggage, I’ll avoid utilizing that in RP. I prefer more bubbly, easy-to-engage personalities, but they sometimes feel hollow when trying to more deeply connect with people—or when I need to fill out questions like these.
IC: Name one thing you love about your character, and one thing you'd like to improve for them.
This goes hand in hand with my previous answer; I love Idrisana because I like playing characters that are outgoing and unlike me. She’s the perfect vessel for listening to other people’s stories, but would like to build on her own character more.
OOC: Describe your hopes and expectations for your ideal roleplay community.
Put very simply: I’d like consistent access to good writers and to make new friends. I’ve been a part of many wonderful communities before, with the only downside being their falling apart after about a year or so. The fact that I’ve seen this guild around for years is very promising!
IC: Is your character spiritual, and what made them that way?
Idrisana was raised to be faithful, but has no close or personal connection to Elune or anyone else. She does, however, have a fascination with the afterlife and spirits.
OOC: Are you an introvert or extrovert, and what does your ideal get together consist of?
I’m an introvert. I love watching shows/movies with people and, naturally, playing games. Going out is great fun, but after a while I need to recharge.
IC: Does your character like going on adventures or would they prefer to stay home and relax, why?
Idrisana spent the better part of her life holed up; she’s looking to explore and mingle now.
I'm Cayldiais, a pleasure to meet another bird fanatic. Mine is more Hippogryphs, but birds are birds right? Even if they are only half of one........ A question for another day. It's good to read your interest, Idrisana seems like a fun character. I'm curious about the little trinkets and 'strange' finds you mentioned. I'm sure you have some wonderful stories and collection to show off!
Tradgey has it's place I feel in stories, but I'm a lot of the same. Everyone has tradgey, we're Kaldoeri after all. I subscribe to the how does it effect you now, not just the event itself. How has it shaped you? What do you do differently? What don't you do anymore? Have you become more closed off? Suspension? Aggressive? Those are the things I want to see.
I encourage you to take a look at the calendar. There is an event tonight, in the middle of an investigation ans ongoing story! Could be fun and a good way to test the waters.
Winds at your back, Cayldiais Moonfang

Thank you for getting back! I *love* hippogryphs, so this is exciting news! I agree that playing out the ways your past has shaped your character holds a bit more weight than simply talking about it, and I’m glad to hear you think so too.
I’m excited to meet you all as soon as possible, but I’m a bit skeptical about the clashing energies of a character introduction and an already ongoing guild event. I certainly don’t want to throw anything off, so I will be there for the next! Do you by chance have a Discord to more easily keep up with event times?
Looking forward to meeting you as well and completely understand that. Far as I know, the guild calendar on the website is the most active and up to date. Plus the added benifit of being able to see a few weeks in advanced for planning sake. The discord is often only used to ping a few hours in advanced of the event.
After we get the chance to meet you in-game and do a little bit of RP with you, we can extend a Discord and in-game community invite to you. As Cay said, we list all of our events on the guild website. On the 17th there is a community event hosted in Ashenvale by Moonglaive Sentinel, which may be more fun/casual to stumble upon SC members in-character without any storyline pressure.
