Delanrya Moonleaf
Elune'adore, Silver Circle! I hope all is fairing well in your endeavors! I am the writer behind Delanrya Moonleaf ; A devoted Priestess of Elune! I initially started WoW at the very end of Burning crusade, and started roleplaying in Cataclysm! I first discovered the Silver Circle when I was a horde main on Wyrmrest Accord roughly about Legion, although I was much more shyer and introverted then and so I never brought myself to make a guest-book introduction or tried to interact. As I still felt far too new within Server roleplay at the time. Over the past few years I've been shaping my writing to where I feel much more confident interacting with guilds! Once I finish leveling Delanrya on Wyrmrest I surely would love to interact with the guild and get to know the members within!

Touch of Elune
OOC: What about the kaldorei inspires you, and what is your favorite thing about them?
I've been fascinated with Kaldorei for as long as I can remember. It's hard to point out what inspires me the most of them though I would definitely have to say ; their ability to survive and perservere despite all odds against them. When all is falling apart they always find a solution and continue with their head held high regardless of the losses they have suffered. My favorite thing of the Kaldorei most certainly is the culture behind them. The way they operate as a society and have changed over the years has always amazed me. They have been a very strong favorite race of mine even since Wrath and I primarily only play them as a race now.

IC: What memory has the most impact on your character's life, and does it drive them today?
I'd like to believe that it was when Delanrya and her Mother split during the War of Ancients ; Delanrya has always been motivated by her Mother to become a devoted Priestess of Elune -- as her Mother was a Priestess before becoming an Illidari. Her Mother's font of wisdom and words still drive her to practice and teach others as she was. Whilst she has little contact with her Mother in current days, always she carries a Journal with her of her Mothers. So if she ever feels lost and seeks guidance she may always hold her Mother's words close and seek council from Elune.

Quickness
OOC: Describe your dream job or the hobbies you most enjoy and why.
I enjoy writing quite a fair bit even outside of roleplay, poetry is one of my favorite past times and I also enjoy reading just as much as writing! I've read, and wrote for the longest time -- even when I was but a child and it was always a way to pass the time when I was not gaming. I enjoy themes such as Horror, Romance, and Fantasy books the most though younger me was not the largest fan of Horror back then. Writing was a good way for me to get my feelings out and also to be creative and became a strength to me for awhile in my youth, now it helps bolster my roleplay talents!

IC: What skills can your character teach and do they have any hidden talents?
Delanrya Moonleaf, has been alive for a long time -- 10,000 years to be more exact, and so she often teaches her knowledge and the ways of being a Priestess to Acolytes and those who wish to know about Elune. Dela, has since been titled a Shan'do by a few that have been taught under her. As for secret talents ; Delanrya is a Seamstress! Most often she'd help mend Mooncloth robes of her Acolytes and fellow Priestess's, but she has also crafted some of her own wardrobe that she uses during events, or simply resting within her home. This talent has remained relatively secret and private for the most part beyond those few occasions of mending. ^

Nature Resistance
OOC: What personal strengths and weaknesses do you want to develop as a writer?
I still struggle at times with comma's, where to end sentences, and I get confused on its/it's their, there, and they're at times. Though I've been doing my best to work on such weaknesses of late for the most part! I'd like to further my strength of descriptions, I have often been complimented on my descriptions of objects, people, items, and my attention to detail. I hope with time I will continue to develop and strengthen them even further!

IC: Name one thing you love about your character, and one thing you'd like to improve for them.
I think her compassion for others is a strong trait I love for her. Her willingness to offer sympathy and empathy to others regardless of Race or what walk of life they strive from has always been a strong suit for her. Though I would say that I'd like to improve her social skills and reclusive behavior so that she may be much more Extroverted instead of her current state of being an Ambivert.

Wisp Spirit
OOC: Describe your hopes and expectations for your ideal roleplay community.
My hope is certainly to build connections and longterm experiences with a community ; to dig deep into stories and uncover them from the dust they may hold on a shelf. As for expectations to always hold a certain level of kindness and respect for fellow roleplayers. We all start somewhere and learn to grow from that start with time. With all of that combined I do believe that would be my ideal community. A community with mutual respect, kindness, longterm experiences, and deep profound connections. A community devoted to helping each other grow as both writers and storytellers, and sharing knowledge that is learned.

IC: Is your character spiritual, and what made them that way?
Yes! Very much so! Delanrya was raised by a Druid and Priestess of Elune ; and she herself is devoted to the Goddess Elune! I'd like to believe that her upbringing as a fairly traditional Kaldorei is the backboard and rockwall foundation that has solidified her being Spiritual and Religious. I'd additionally like to believe that her Mother before becoming an Illidari was the backbone and drive for her to become a Priestess of Elune and devoted to the Goddess.

Shadowmeld
OOC: Are you an introvert or extrovert, and what does your ideal get together consist of?
I would say I start out in social interactions being Introverted, and later become more ambiverted as I warm up and get to know those around me. I like to try and go past my comfort zone socially to hopefully become much more extroverted with time! So perhaps some sort of social get-together would be more of an ideal setting for me!

IC: Does your character like going on adventures or would they prefer to stay home and relax, why?
I've always imagined Delanrya on being a bit of both to this question. She loves exploring the great outdoors and traveling among the trees and grass of her homelands. To feel the moonlight upon her cheeks. Additionally I've imagined her to also like staying home and relaxing -- taking what little time she has to seam up a new dress for an event, or to read a tome in her spare time. Though I think now I'd more strongly lean towards her taking adventures as she already travels so much as a Priestess across Kalimdor. She loves the beauty of her homelands and I'd imagine she'd be more comfortable moving across several lands versus staying in one place.

Ishnu-alah Delanrya,

It's always good to read introductions from new applicants! It seems you have a really good outlook on writing and I understand the feeling of carrying on a sentence far too long, or when to use a comma. I often drag things out way too long and forget that sometimes people need to breath when reading as well. The culture of the Kaldorei is something that I still keep finding new things about, it's fascinating, I'm specifically drawn to Hippogryphs and their relationships as companions, mounts and cavalry.

This is a good place for you to socialize and help grow more into a larger environment of rp. I know that I have a problem with large group rp, but it's really helpful attending events and getting to learn some of the members. It's a friendly and welcoming place that I hope will help you with your goals of becoming a better writing and building some friendships along the way.

If you have any questions or anything, feel free to reach out to a member in game about events or rp. Otherwise I hope to see you around in the future!

Ishnu-dal-dieb Cayldiais!

I'm glad to see I am not alone here on this! On a side note, I may be opting to make a new character and potentially change a fair bit of Delanrya [Including the potential name and class!] at the moment, I am in the process of pre-writing in a google doc some ideas currently! Would it be better if I wrote another Guestbook incase the character ends up being completely rewritten? Or is the introduction meant for more of an OOC or both sort of thing? Just wanted to ask!

Hippogryph's have always fascinated me more then Gryphons ; It's a shame we don't have more of them as mounts as we do now in comparison. They are a beautiful companion, mount, and cavalry. So I 100% understand the love for them!

I will keep this in mind, and thank you!

The introdution posts are to help set the tone of your character for the guild, a small insight into them and help you slip more into them. That said, you're more than welcome to write up another one, if it helps you get in the mindset. Otherwise, jumping at events and showing the character off is another good way! You can also customize and change the format if you wanted.

Reworks are a good tool for this as well, my two biggest pitfalls though is I get stuck in a rewrite loop. I need to change this, but what about this? It tends to lead to mangled back stories. The other is pidegon holding a character. Giving them enough background to let them grow and adapt not railroad a story.

We always need more Hippogrpyh related material. That should be the next expansion. Hippogryph isles, enough with the dragons! (Mostly kidding)

I may just write another one! I'll see! I'm working on the character currently as we speak! As for Reworks, I tend to think 'Ah this idea will be good!' And then think back on it, think it over for some even, and then realize perhaps it's not as great as I thought it was and come up with something new to replace it until I'm content or happy with it! Unfortunately I feel as if I railroaded Delanrya's story a bit, and so I plan on fixing that out and leaving it more open-ended with ways of introduction!

I unironically used to roleplay a Hippogryph Tamer, and you know. I'd be quite content with the Hippogryph isles, it'd be a lovely expansion to have in retrospect. Perhaps one that helps uncover more of the history on Kaldorei!

I look forward to see your new introduction then! The website has some tools and what not if you need some help with history and the like. Dms are always open and fellow guild mates can help with questions you have as well.

Cayl is a Hippogryph Rider, so my love for them goes deep. I found myself wanting more lore than there was available and having to start head cannoning a bunch.
