Heyo heyo! My name's Buddy and I'm a friend of Tane! They're the reason I know about this and I figured it was time I made one of these to just up and say hi! I'm an rp'er, obviously, but I'm also just always around playing tons of other games too. I've been playing a Kaldorei since the very start of BFA and am certainly still a babby to the lore of them.
My character of Budoreal Mellowspyre is a young elf, as young as Tane. The two met and bonded instantly cause they were the first fellow Kaldorei they knew who were of similar age! Bud was born in Lor'danel and shortly after the Cataclysm begun her family relocated to Teldrassil. She grew up inside the World Tree. With the burning the young elf miraculously survived, escaping the tree but not through any portal. Time passed and the elf found herself aboard a ship, stowing away and sneaking off in Kul Tiras, lived poor on the streets stealing and fighting to live, stowed away to Stormwind- Same thing there. Rough life for the poor babby. Despite the awfulness she tries to be positive and hide all that trauma behind a mask of a mischievous lil' creachur
OOC: What about the kaldorei inspires you, and what is your favorite thing about them? They've long been my favorite Alliance race, I don't...really care for any of the others I admit- Usually do to both lore and some not great folk. Besides that they're genuinely just incredibly interesting. Their lore is nice, their aesthetics are top notch and I just like being a lanky, floppy eared, gremlin!
IC: What memory has the most impact on your character's life, and does it drive them today? Buddy's most impactful memory is of her and her father returning to Teldrassil after a visit to Lor'danel to see her mother. Her mother was a sentinel and as such was not always home. She always remembered how positive and kind he was and even though her life has been utterly cruel and harsh she wants to carry on his spirit in trying to be a positive force
OOC: Describe your dream job or the hobbies you most enjoy and why. Gaming, music, writing... The big three of my hobbies. They're just so solitary and after dealing with work and socializing and all that stuff it's nice to have things to just fall back into and just mellow out by myself. Strangely rp'ing doesn't exhaust the social battery.
IC: What skills can your character teach and do they have any hidden talents? Bud can teach, poorly I might add, thievery, sneakery, stabbery, and ways to get the heck outta dodge. She was alone on the mean streets, she had to get by however she can and her most hidden talent is certainly a fantastic memory. The girl somehow has mapped out almost everywhere she's been or lived around in her mind. She's also incredibly light on her feet, swift as the wind and as tough as the roots.
OOC: Describe your hopes and expectations for your ideal roleplay community. Hopes and expectations are not many truthfully, I just want folk who are nice, respectful, not chuds. Ya know like how you'd expect people you meet to be just cool. Not too big either, as I'm...pretty shy and such.
IC: Is your character spiritual, and what made them that way? Buddy is...conflicted. She's of the opinion that they were left for dead by Elune but...still desperately hopes she's wrong, that she wasn't somehow spared from death by sheer coincidence and something saved her. Someone graced her with what she needed to survive all she went through. She rapidly oscillates between these and as a result it is a touchy subject.
I'm Cayldiais Moonfang. Nice of you to drop in and say hey! Kaldorei have been one of my favorite races since Warcraft 3, lots or really deep and interesting lore to be found that's for sure.
Certainly may have to get in touch with you about those cartographic skills. As a Hippogryph Rider maps and charts are very important to flight. Learning to improve my own skills or just learn a few tips, different styles wihld be beyond helpful. I understand the sense of conflict with Elune. As someone who has been fighting since the third war, it is easy to get caught in that pendulum. There are many here who can help find that side again or helo straighten things out.
Looking forward to seeing you around and learning more about you! Seeing how you survived on the streets and everything on Kul Tiras. Winds at your back Sister.
