Hi there, I'm Karadryn. My in game tag is Sàber and I took an interest in your guild some time ago. Seeing posts about an all night elf guild during some key story moments in the game felt like something I wanted to be apart of, but I have been a touch shy to try. I'm usually always looking for new people to befriend and share stories with.
Touch of Elune OOC: What about the kaldorei inspires you, and what is your favorite thing about them? Oocly, the thing about the Kaldorei that inspires me is their culture and the high fantasy aspect about them. Ever since I played Warcraft 3 when I was younger, they quickly became my favorite race. Honestly my favorite thing about them is their deep connection to the wilds and to magic.
IC: What memory has the most impact on your character's life, and does it drive them today? The memory that's impacted Karadryn's life the most was when he lost his druid powers during the events in legion. Devastated by losing his powers and family, he went soul searching. After traveling great distances, he found himself at the temple of the white tiger. He studied there and learned to let go of his grief. Due to current events, he did leave his monk training and took up a sword and shield and started to hone his un tapped magic.
Quickness OOC: Describe your dream job or the hobbies you most enjoy and why. The hobbies I most enjoy are drawing and writing stories. I've always adored the way some of my favorite authors and artist could weave these stories and drawings that invoke the most powerful of emotions.
IC: What skills can your character teach and do they have any hidden talents? Karadryn can teach others patience and balance to their emotions and memories. He also has a way with using magics to become a bulwark to defend people.
Nature Resistance OOC: What personal strengths and weaknesses do you want to develop as a writer? A personal strength I want to develop as a writer is just the ability to improve the way I describe things, like locations and how someone may look or actions being taken.
IC: Name one thing you love about your character, and one thing you'd like to improve for them. One thing I love about Karadryn is how calm and even headed he can be. He hides his intelligence behind his ego and the false mask of being a muscle head. One thing I would like to improve for him is his ability to reconnect with his people. He still has a hard time trying to speak with other Kaldorei.
Wisp Spirit OOC: Describe your hopes and expectations for your ideal roleplay community. My hopes for a ideal roleplay community would be one of unity and being able to teach those new to role play and to just create a safe space where people can enjoy the stories they write and the characters they create.
IC: Is your character spiritual, and what made them that way? Karadryn very much is spiritual. In his time of need, he begged Elune to give him a sign that she was still watching over him. About a couple of days later, he managed to find a ship to Pandaria where he passed out from dehydration and sleep deprivation. A monk from the white tiger temple found him and took him in where he began to heal under their lessons.
Shadowmeld OOC: Are you an introvert or extrovert, and what does your ideal get together consist of? I am very much an introvert, but I love getting to know new people. My ideal get together consists of good stories and getting to make new friends.
IC: Does your character like going on adventures or would they prefer to stay home and relax, why? Karadryn is a healthy mix of both. He loves loves loves to travel and go on adventures, but he's also very happy relaxing and staying at home. His love of adventure is due to the fact that traveling saved his life.
Karadryn, (checks 15 times to make sure I spelt that correct)
Reading through your oost makes me excited to met you. I was the same way in WC3, my love was the Hippogrpyh riders though... Ya know birds ^^. I'm super curious about how you lost your touch with nature and druid way. I certainly know that I could use the balance of emotions and memories, that would be super helpful. Looking forward to meeting you in character seems like it would be a fun time!
Thank you so much for your interest in Silver Circle. I really admire the amount of detail implied by your character's backstory, particularly regarding how he lost his druidic powers. I sense a deeper story there, and I'm very curious to learn more about how that happened.
We recently wrapped up a pretty intense campaign into the Shadowlands, and now we will be turning our focus back to stories held on Azeroth. Our events for August have not yet been listed, but will be posted no later than the end of July. Some other affiliate/community events are on the calendar, and they are a great place to meet new folks and get to know some of our members who may attend.
If you have any questions, or are interested in chatting, you're welcome to add me on Discord at Feyawen#6264. Happy gaming!
