Nenre Frostgrove
Let me first say that I don't think I'm nearly as interesting as the characters that I write, so I can't promise that any of these OOC sections will be quite as colorful as Nenre's answers. I'm a bit ashamed to say that I've mulled over attempting to join this guild several times over the last couple of years, but never found the guts. This was due to a worry that I didn't have the time to commit to an established community of talented writers - as I was still in university and juggling other projects. But now... woooo! I graduated! Freedom!

Free time is suddenly a resource that I have in abundance and I've spent the better part of it convincing myself that I shouldn't take it for granted. So... here I am! My first exposure to the Silver Circle was on Tumblr and I'm not embarassed to say that the post regarding the guild's headcanon on the Darnassian language is something I've credited several times in my writing.

Ahead of the introduction prompts that I will begin shortly, I know that the preliminary recruitment process is unique to this guild and I want to ensure that I'm embracing this opportunity to its fullest. I have experience DMing events and I noticed that it was option to propose catering an event that leads to the meeting of my character. If this is still an acceptable alternative, I'd love the chance to discuss an acceptable narrative with the officers!

Right, I think I've blabbered long enough.

So... Hi! I'm Tabi. In-game: Nenre.

Touch of Elune
OOC: What about the kaldorei inspires you, and what is your favorite thing about them?
My first experience with elves was through the eyes of R.A Salvatore and his written works regarding Drizzt Do'Urden and the drow. This perpetrated the impression that elven civilizations were selfish, malicious and life-hating. So, you can imagine my surprise when I first began playing World of Warcraft. The architecture and culture of the Kaldorei gave me one of the best first impressions of a race that I've had in a long time. Even without reading the quests or researching their centuries of lore, you can understand the fundamentals of the race by simply running around Teldrassil. I know that there's a lot more to them than protecting nature, worshipping Elune and ancient trees. But my favorite thing is how their lore and beliefs are beautifully visualized in-game and throughout their zones.

IC: What memory has the most impact on your character's life, and does it drive them today?
If one were to ask Nenre this question multiple times, it's likely they'd receive different answers depending on her mood. As her writer, I can say that the memory that has shaped her the most in terms of development is the death of her mother. As a result of this loss, she became increasingly independent and dignified. However, Nenre's most likely answer is the far more cheerful and nonsensical memory of the time she caused an avalanche above Frostwhisper Gorge. She does her best to remind herself of the pleasant things in life and this is what drives her today; to create more cheerful and nonsensical memories.

Quickness
OOC: Describe your dream job or the hobbies you most enjoy and why.
I currently work as a Medical Laboratory Scientist and I absolutely love it. I only recently graduated so I haven't been working very long, but it's rewarding and challenging work that I can't imagine giving up. My hobbies are fairly stereotypical for a roleplayer - reading, writing and playing video games are definitely the main ones. I also adore commissioning art for my characters.

IC: What skills can your character teach, and do they have any hidden talents?
Nenre is a druid but is no prodigy among her colleagues. Aside from utilizing nature for healing, she is a skilled medic and is just as comfortable stitching a gash closed as she is spurring regenerative moss. She has a preference for colder environments and can offer guidance to individuals that struggle to connect with winter's grasp. Her mother taught her several traditional Kaldorei dances and she's quite talented at performing them - she has no intention of revealing this talent.

Nature Resistance
OOC: What personal strengths and weaknesses do you want to develop as a writer?
I have a tendency to be very critical in regards to my own writing, so I'm going to do my best to not sell myself short with this question. My characters are generally very flawed individuals in the sense that I find vices far more fascinating to write than virtues. I think the development of my characters and their psyche is one of my strongest appeals - they're authentic to their struggles, failures and achievements. In terms of weaknesses, I struggle with self-editing and procrastination.

IC: Name one thing you love about your character, and one thing you'd like to improve for them.
I love her internal conflict. The fact that she has lived for several centuries is such an absolute pleasure to attempt to write. Knowing that she has born witness to countless atrocities, wars and heartbreaks - yet remains persistent in continuing is what I find so incredible to portray. She rides the thin balance of maintaining a demeanor of aspiration and the creeping knowledge that bad things never stop happening. Nenre carries a heavy weight on her shoulders and I hope her story brings her an inch of respite or convinces her that this burden is worth supporting.

Wisp Spirit
OOC: Describe your hopes and expectations for your ideal roleplay community.
A place to have fun. I think I have the same basic expectations as most people; common curtesy and decency. I am extremely strict on the concept of IC not equalling OOC, so hopefully that rule is respected.

IC: Is your character spiritual, and what made them that way?
Nenre is pragmatic with her spirituality. She recognizes that good things come to those who work for them - not necessarily to the most faithful. Of all the wilderness spirits, she feels a sense of kinship with Aessina and holds a strong sense of duty towards her. Elune remains a significant figure in her beliefs but is featured less prominently in her thoughts. Her spirituality was born from a mixture of her upbringing, druidic tutelage and her own experiences. She's never experienced a crisis of faith, fundamentally because she attributes her spirituality to who she is as an individual.

Shadowmeld
OOC: Are you an introvert or extrovert, and what does your ideal get together consist of?
I'm an introvert that is good at faking being extroverted. I can act sociable and be loud if it fits the mood of the group, but otherwise I feel most at ease when alone. I still find great enjoyment in being in large groups or with several people talking at once on discord - though there might be days where I prefer to enjoy some quiet while I write.

IC: Does your character like going on adventures or would they prefer to stay home and relax, why? At first glance, Nenre seems like the type to prefer withdrawing from expeditions or far away missions. In reality, she's simply waiting for a reason to. A sense of fulfillment has been essential for her cope with constant tragedy and she obtains this achievement by giving herself new objectives at every corner. Fresh adventures are the perfect way to harmonize her inner turmoil.

Hello fellow, “introverted but good at pretending to be extroverted” !

I am Celassa, an officer of Silver Circle. I would love to hear what idea’s you would potentially like to make reality for the IC introduction of Nenre! I encourage you to refer to our website calendar to see what events you could make if that is an alternative, soft IC introduction. Though for this months campaign, the events are taking place in the Shadowlands. But there is an community event, Byltan- that may offer some exposure if you’d so wish.

I do want to quickly add that I am impressed with how much you wrote for your introduction. You added quite a lot of depth and answered a few of my usual questions, I applaud you for that. I would absolutely love to get to know you and Nenre (IC/OOC) and see what we could craft in regards to an intro for her! I can also answer any questions you may have as you get to know our members and leadership team!

Please either reply to this thread or DM via discord: Celassa#8644

Hello, Nenre!

Asvi here, though I have been playing my sentinel, Sarynth, more when I have precious free time to play.

I was reading through your answers to the questions and I have to say that your response to the very first question about the kaldorei is similar to mine. I usually dislike playing elves because of the trope you mentioned that follows them through most things. The kaldorei here I found were a lot deeper than that, and it made me fall in love with them. In fact, this is the the only game in which I quite enjoy playing an elf.

Additionally, I found keen interest in your response to the Nature Resist query, because it strikes a familiar tone to Sarynth, and then there is the polarity struggle my death knight has with her current condition. It is fun to explore the depth of your characters. Even more-so with guild-mates, roleplay partners, and friends.

Excited to see and interact with you.

Cheers!

PS:
- Give yourself more credit! This post, its structure, and your responses make you appear very interesting!
