Hi! I'm Chatell (Ricky), and I had the wonderful chance to RP with you all on the 17th, the preface to your Shadowlands campaign. While I was incredibly anxious about RPing on them, the SC made it incredibly friendly and welcoming! I would be honored to attend anything new, or simply just hanging out with you all more!
OOCly, I am a 3d model editor and artist that enjoys making animations and edits on twitter! For Adahvros, I have a ton of cool druid form concepts to make as they develop their skills.
Adahvros is a druid from Winterspring. Their specialties range from basic pollens and sleeping dusts, but their skills may develop with more training. (They are Genderqueer and prefer They/Them, but they are comfortable with any pronoun!) They are a troubled soul, who has yet to truly give back to the world. While they grew up in Winterspring, they were not born there. It's not too clear where they were born, nor who their biological parents are. (This is partially due to the fact that I am not too sure, yet. This does open a ton of backstory for anyone looking to write with!) Adahvros can be rather awkward around larger social situations, however, it can be quite fun to interact with them during these.
OOC: What about the Kaldorei inspires you, and what is your favorite thing about them? I have always held a special spot for the feeling you get when you first step out of Shadowglen and look around Teldrassil. The music, seeing that giant treant of Dolanaar, and just exploring and questing, there. For that reason, I have always had that nostalgic feeling for Kaldorei. They are this ancient, beautiful, fantastical race of elves that are truly special.
IC: What memory has the most impact on your character's life, and does it drive them today? When Adahvros was just a child, they would climb up a tree in a grove in Winterspring and look around. The several Winter moths in trees would flutter about and continue their slumber elsewhere. Surrounded by such beautiful creatures, in the still of Winterspring, gave Adahvros time to reflect on themself. They had such a simple life, but there were those outside of the cold that could not live in such tranquility. Perhaps, they should strive to bring such peace to the rest of Azeroth. Could they?.. They focused on a rather large moth, that had a few rips in their wing. It occasionally shifted from one location of rest to the other. Perhaps, that was the case of this world. To rest and slumber, only to stir. But, eventually, find rest elsewhere. Adahvros softly approached and offered their hand on the wing, slowly restoring the scales and dust on it. Theirs was not to change the world, but mend it. Each rip at a time.
OOC: Describe your dream job or the hobbies you most enjoy and why. Ooh. That's tricky. I would love to work at Blizzard, however, I acknowledge the lack of pay and expendability that comes from being an artist, there. I enjoy character design and creating trailers the most, though.
IC: What skills can your character teach and do they have any hidden talents? Adahvros's skills lie in creating pollens and sleeping dusts. Their staff can create spores, pollens, and whatever else, to influence the minds of their attackers. This usually nullifies conflict without serious devastation. Once they master their skills, though, perhaps they can take new, and perhaps exotic forms, akin to the wildlife or Winterspring (and perhaps even Moth related, of course).
OOC: What personal strengths and weaknesses do you want to develop as a writer? Sometimes, when I'm focused, I can whip out crazy posts and emote beautifully. Unfortunately, I am very lazy by nature and will write whatever is fastest, otherwise, I will take a while to come up with one post. I am also distracted quite easily and will lose focus, should it not involve or need my writing.
IC: Name one thing you love about your character, and one thing you'd like to improve for them. Adahvros is a character that I hold quite closely to my heart. Even though I have little written about them, exploring a GQ character can give me insight to my own gender situation, right now. That, and I think OCs in fluffy outfits are very cute lol. But, I would absolutely like to improve their backstory. Maybe meet their biological parents, maybe flesh out their backstory, as well!
OOC: Describe your hopes and expectations for your ideal roleplay community. I truly do hope the community can feel as inclusive as some others I've been in. Unfortunately, I've seen many cliques around a few people develop. I've been responsible for joining a few, but I want to reach out and be reached out to, myself, as one big RP community. WrA isn't seeming to get any bigger, so each member really does do their part.
IC: Is your character spiritual, and what made them that way? At the moment, Adahvros is not. Adahvros has been a rather free, albeit troubled as I said, soul. They do what they want and if others don't like it, they can take their opinions and take a deep breath of sleeping powder. Adahvros, however, has rarely, if not never, used this power for crime. Only self defense, as they are prone to irritating less tolerant groups such as the Scarlet Crusade.
OOC: Are you an introvert or extrovert, and what does your ideal get together consist of? That's a tricky one, haha. I'm an extrovert by nature. I love throwing myself in large crowds and attention doesn't bother me in the slightest. I don't really experience overload, however, if I feel ignored or unwanted, I can quickly switch to introverted behavior. Ideally, together is just friends. There are those who have difficulty reaching out, myself included, however once you do, you might feel more comfortable to reach out and invite others. Friend groups like this are quite the best.
IC: Does your character like going on adventures or would they prefer to stay home and relax, why?
Knowing Adahvros, I would have said the latter, however, Adahvros will likely end up getting the courage to go out and make real change. After all, if they didn't want to adventure, they wouldn't have left Winterspring.
How fortunate that you came across us during our event! Adahvros seems like a joy to have around, and I hope we can provide the sort of community you would enjoy! I've been a member of Silver Circle for a little over three years now, and I can easily say that our greatest strengths are our inclusive nature as well as the safe, comfortable, and friendly atmosphere. We've always avoided clique-forming, and all of our members and affiliates get the opportunity to interact freely with each other both ICly and OOCly! I also think that you'll find a lot of people you can relate to here!
Dear Adahvros, It was a delight to meet you the other night on my DH Snowy. I know we didn't get to interact much but your character concept was very intriguing.
I can't wait to Rp with you more and get to know you better.
The Ancient One: We harness energy... drawn from other dimensions of the Multiverse... to cast spells... to conjure shields... and weapons... to make magic. Through the mystic arts, we harness energy and shape reality.
I had a lovely time hanging out with you during our event in Stormeind as Glynindra! My other character, Kelanthos Ivyfang, Elder of the Wild, also hails from Winterspring! (Get it? Hails?) We have an incredible amount of people in our guild that call Winterspring home. Some since the first settlements were made post-sundering!
No doubt you’ll find someone to vibe with when it comes to character history! Hope you keep checking out the website and keep an eye out for our events so we can see you more!
May Elune guide your path, and you find the strength to overcome its obstacles.
