Thyria Wildward
Ishnu’alah,

My name is Thyria Wildward. I am a Kaldorei huntress interested in contacting the members of the Silver Circle, as I feel our goals align. In my youth, I trained as a sentinel, but realized I am more drawn to independent discovery and exploration. Later, I would become an ecological researcher, scout, and explorer for the Cenarion Circle and the Alliance. Recently I have felt the need to step back from my involvement in the Alliance and wish to find a smaller, supportive group of Kaldorei who show initiative in helping our world.

OOC: Hi! I'm Nora, also known as Veridianora on twitter and around the internet. I’ve heard of the Silver Circle mainly through members’ social media, posting about your campaigns, and have been interested for a while. However, my main character in WoW, Thyria, has always been on a different server, that is, until now! Over the past year or so, I have been relocating most of my characters to Wyrmrest Accord since I realized that RP communities make WoW so much more enjoyable for me.

I’m interested in the Silver Circle since I love the Kaldorei. When I was young and barely knew anything about wow, I saw a few descriptions of the races and knew I had to play a night elf. My very first character, a night elf hunter, was created back in the Burning Crusade era, and I have mained her ever since.

I’m a bit new to WoW RP; I have roleplayed in other methods in the past, though, and recently been a part of multiple campaigns on WrA, so I am decently comfortable with roll systems and emotes and such. I would love an opportunity to get involved with night elf RP and finally have Thyria create some meaningful connections. I hope to attend one of your events soon!

That being said, I’ll let you get to know her through the prompts!

Touch of Elune

OOC: What about the kaldorei inspires you, and what is your favorite thing about them?

The kaldorei inspire me in their fierce protection of nature. I love that the night elves are the elves who refused magic, even though it can create amazing things such as Suramar City. Instead, they learned to live with nature, even creating cities out of trees instead of stone. Their matriarchal nature was also interesting to me, as a young woman who tended to admire women in positions of power. I love that the night elves are not afraid to fight, and bring out their feral side; that they defy stereotypical expectations of elves as being always haughty and delicate.

IC: What memory has the most impact on your character's life, and does it drive them today?
Stepping through the dark portal for the first time was a life-changing experience. I was part of a team of researchers in the Cenarion Expedition, which was tasked with studying the native flora and fauna of Draenor, or Outland, as we also called it. I’ll never forget the scarred, red wasteland that met my eyes, littered with demons and felfire. I’m thankful it wasn’t all like that; I was mainly stationed in Zangarmarsh, which was much more pleasant. But the sight of a world which had been decimated by demons, whose life had been mutated if not outright stripped away, instilled in me a fierce need to protect Azeroth. It also tested my skills as a huntress, in those dangerous wilds, and gave me some great friends from the Expedition. I gained an appreciation for the life that was able to prosper there; a reminder that even seemingly dark, twisted things can contain good.

Quickness

OOC: Describe your dream job or the hobbies you most enjoy and why.

I’m currently studying to be an ecologist and/or wildlife biologist! My hobbies include dance, specifically Latin styles, art in all forms, and working out. I’ve also gotten back into writing stories for my characters. I like being outdoors and I love the beach and coastal areas in particular since I have always lived close to a beach.

IC: What skills can your character teach and do they have any hidden talents?

I’m pretty good with a bow. I reckon I can teach anyone the basics of archery. If they’re a good student, I could probably teach tracking animals, identifying species of plants and animals, and training nightsabers to aid on a hunt. Also, I rarely wear jewelry, so many probably wouldn't guess this, but I love creating trinkets and pieces for others to wear. In my travels, I’ve learned to be a pretty good swimmer and I can hold my breath for like, a long time. Comes with the territory of exploring shipwrecks and counting crabs and such.

Nature Resistance

OOC: What personal strengths and weaknesses do you want to develop as a writer?

Being relatively new to WoW RP, I want to develop my writing skills all-around. I know I tend to write shorter in comparison to others, so I would like to practice roleplaying in more detail. Additionally, I definitely want to develop my knowledge of Kaldorei roleplay, such as the common phrases and mannerisms that are accepted within the community.

IC: Name one thing you love about your character, and one thing you'd like to improve for them.

My friends tell me they admire my optimistic attitude. How I never seem to let the dangers of this world weigh too heavily on my spirit, and I always find a chance to have fun and laugh. While this is true, I believe it also reflects a certain detachment; I rarely allow myself to care too deeply for others, or to commit myself to a group of people. This way, I am free of the burdens that go along with these connections. I believe it is time I change this, to create meaning in my life through bonds and responsibilities, while hopefully bringing my optimism to others.

Wisp Spirit

OOC: Describe your hopes and expectations for your ideal roleplay community.

My ideal roleplay community is grounded but flexible, meaning they have a solid foundation of lore and rules but are not closed off to unique ideas. They would hold regular events while understanding everyone has other commitments and characters. Additionally, my ideal roleplay community makes everyone feel included and gives everyone a chance for their character to shine and develop. Outside of roleplay, I seek a respectful, friendly community to create friendships OOC as well.

IC: Is your character spiritual, and what made them that way?
I, of course, revere the spirits of nature and our ancestors. Elune, however, was a different story for me. I wanted to believe when I was a child, and I was always respectful, but I never felt a direct connection to the Goddess. Many times when I was on my own, in a dangerous situation, I wondered why she would not reach out to me. This bothered me when I was young, but I have since come to the understanding that Elune had been teaching me that I was always strong enough to fight my own battles. And well, I’m here now, aren’t I?

Recently though, my understanding of the Goddess has shifted greatly. The Night Warrior boon that she granted our High Priestess, and later even I, is undeniable proof of her power and guidance. Through the loss of Teldrassil and battle for Darkshore, I have felt closer to my Goddess and my people than I have in a while. So, I decided it was time to return to my roots and seek a group of like-minded kaldorei to bond with.

Shadowmeld

OOC: Are you an introvert or extrovert, and what does your ideal get together consist of?

I lean towards being an introvert, but I love meeting new people! I prefer to do things that are semi-active, like going hiking or taking an art class together, rather than, for example, watching a movie. I also dance socially, which is a great way to meet people while having fun. I save activities like watching TV, drawing, and videogames (minus RP) for my alone time.

IC: Does your character like going on adventures or would they prefer to stay home and relax, why?
Those close to me would say it feels like I barely have a home, since I always jump at an opportunity to explore unfamiliar lands, meet new people, and learn more about the world. That does not mean I always need excitement in the form of danger; I am just as happy looking over scenic views and stopping to smell the roses. But I definitely prefer to be out and about, I think. After all, the world is so huge, it’s a shame not to travel and try to see all of it. That being said, I return to my “home bases” often to check in with my friends. When I am at home, I enjoy cooking and making jewelry.

I thank the Silver Circle for their time and hope to meet them soon.

Hi Celassa! Thanks for the warm welcome :) Also I'm so glad you like my art! I just added you on Discord, but twitter dms are also a good way to contact me.

I attended Samha tonight which was lovely! And will probably try to make more events for a more formal introduction. Speaking of, is the Death Rising campaign members-only? I'm interested in making an IC transition to Shadowlands, so that sounds really fun!

Feel free to reach out if you want to RP! I'm usually good afternoons/evenings server time.

Thanks again!

Ishnu'alah Thyria,

The Death Rising campaign is open for you to accompany. I only ask that you please be mindful not to bring spoiler content (either for the Pre-patch or the upcoming Shadowlands expansion) into the roleplay. Some of the new lore will be roleplayed through during the events of the campaign.

If you would like to avoid spoiler content for Shadowlands, I recommend PMing me with any questions prior to events, so I can coordinate with you how best to stay involved and avoid spoilers for yourself. You're welcome to reach out to me on this forum, or in-game through /whisper.
