Hey y'all! So I know I'm no stranger to the Circle, and have been regularly attending SC events for several months now on Za'tiya. But this should be fun.
OOC: What about the kaldorei inspires you, and what is your favorite thing about them? Although I am, and probably always will be a Horde fan above all, the Kaldorei hold a special place in my heart. Being a druid main, it's hard to deny how intrinsically linked Kaldorei culture and Cenarion druidism is. I first started playing WoW during the Lunar Festival, and the allusions to my culture's celebrations in Moonglade convinced me to stay.
IC: What memory has the most impact on your character's life, and does it drive them today? His first kill. As an apprentice, he was traveling to Starfall Village with a group of friends when they came across slavers with captured furbolg children. While they ruminated amongst themselves on the next course of action, the slavers took notice of the interlopers and attacked, forcing the young druids to defend themselves and the stolen cubs. Shedding blood is always justified, he learned, when it comes to defense of the innocent.
OOC: Describe your dream job or the hobbies you most enjoy and why. I want to be a research scientist, either in chemistry or microbiology (or both! The field is becoming more interdisciplinary by the day). The lab bench has always been my calling. There is nothing I'd like more than a life in pursuit of uncovering the natural world's mysteries, and I am very grateful for the opportunities I've received that put me on this path thus far.
IC: What skills can your character teach and do they have any hidden talents? I imagine Telandros could make a good personal trainer or gym buddy. As he is highly familiar with the regiments of exercise, good dieting, and general fitness. Despite being a shifting druid, he's actually quite adept at melee combat and the use of maces, having had training as a Cenarion warden. Telandros also keeps bees. He loves cultivating his own honey. True bear boi.
OOC: What personal strengths and weaknesses do you want to develop as a writer? I'm rather good at poetry and prose. But it takes a long time for me to find the right words. RP is a good challenge for me, because of its improvisational nature that forces me to churn out words at a faster pace than if I were typing up a short story. I'm very paranoid that my characters come off as flat, or even self-inserts, so I am constantly reading writers' articles or answering prompts in hopes of developing their dimension.
IC: Name one thing you love about your character, and one thing you'd like to improve for them. The fact that he might be strong, tough, and rugged-looking, but really he has the personality of a teddy bear. Textbook definition of the trope, "Lovable Jock". He cares deeply for his sister and his friends, and will jump in front of a bullet for them. However, this altruistic focus on others leads him to repress and ignore his own feelings-- too busy trying to protect the feelings of others. A consequence of this may manifest into finding himself acting more out of social obligation than personal desire.
OOC: Are you an introvert or extrovert, and what does your ideal get together consist of? Extroverted! I like large gatherings, I love meeting new people, and I love making new friends. My ideal get together would be an outing in the city in a big group.
IC: Does your character like going on adventures or would they prefer to stay home and relax, why? It depends. He does have an innate wanderlust to see the world, but paradoxically prefers the comforts of hearth and home. If he travels for leisure, he'd likely bring his little sister along if possible. Most of the time when he does travel, it is out of duty. A druid's work is never complete.
