Hey ya'll, my IRL name is Isaac and I am interested in this guild because it seems like it would be a really nice fit for me, and the character(s) I plan to roleplay. I am twenty years old.
[Touch of Elune] I'm particularly interested in playing Kaldorei because they have been kind of a guilty pleasure character for me since I was a kid playing vanilla. I'm mostly interested in druid characters because I enjoy nature, but I am trying to get back into RP on this warrior character (OOCly a rogue) after my last (non-nelf focused) guild (amicably!) disbanded.
[Quickness] My IRL dream job would be to make a living writing books, but I understand that is a pretty lofty goal. I'm going to college right now for an bachelors in English anyway, though, because I would be satisfied with any form of career involving writing.
[Nature Resistance] The strengths I want to develop as a writer mostly involves writing characters that interest people other than just myself, as well as creating characters who are completely separate from my IRL self. I am pretty good at those things now, I think, but I definitely used to have an issue doing so when I was younger (I have been roleplaying since I was about sixteen.)
[Wisp Spirit] My hopes for my ideal roleplay community would mostly include allowing for both spectacle, (I.E. some action oriented events) and personal character development. I also value at least a fifth grade understanding of the English language, but my interests mostly lie in interesting characters and a chance to develop my own characters that are interesting.
[Shadowmeld] It is kind of hard to say whether or not I am an introvert or an extrovert. I enjoy hanging out with people IRL and in discord, but I also get emotionally exhausted after a while, and am prone to small amounts of social anxiety. Okay now that I'm writing this and reading it again I realize that probably makes me an introvert.
Nadyssa is the character I am particularly interested in roleplaying on, and she is a warrior who trained to be a Sentinel, but was never officially inducted despite having essentially finished her training. This was due entirely to the loss of her mentors in the War of the Thorns and the following loss of Teldrassil.
[Touch of Elune] The memory that would certainly have the most impact on her is the loss of her mate, a priestess who stayed behind to comfort those doomed to burn, and her own near-death in Teldrassil when it burned. Aside from the obvious trauma, she is driven by the memories to want to retake her and her fallen mate's home, and stand vigilant over the lands once they are reclaimed.
[Quickness] Nadyssa, being (essentially) a Sentinel, is skilled in the wielding of moonglaives and swords, as well as the throwing of moonglaives and knives. With this having been her path in life, she doesn't really have a profession outside of that, barring slight knowledge of herbs and potion making. Her dedication to the path of combat has given her a comprehensive mastery over those skills.
[Nature Resistance] The main thing I like about my character is how much they have changed over the course of the Blood War. Originally, she was focused almost entirely on the eradication of the Horde and all of the races that belong to it, but as of right now her opinions on the races are neutral and her ire is more towards the Horde as a collective (particularly those involved in burning Teldrassil). One thing I would like to improve is having her ICly learn more non-combat skills.
[Wisp Spirit] Nadyssa is a fairly spiritual character. She is a devout worshiper of Elune, and carries around a blessed crescent pendant that was a gift from her fallen mate.
[Shadowmeld] Nadyssa does not enjoy lounging around in safe places. Perhaps before the fall of Teldrassil, things would have been different, but now she is devoted entirely to reclaiming it.
Thank you for your interest in Silver Circle, and congratulations on four years as a roleplayer! From what you have written, I can already see common interests and aspirations shared between you and some current members and affiliates.
Regarding your out-of-character response for Shadowmeld:
It is kind of hard to say whether or not I am an introvert or an extrovert. I enjoy hanging out with people IRL and in discord, but I also get emotionally exhausted after a while, and am prone to small amounts of social anxiety. Okay now that I'm writing this and reading it again I realize that probably makes me an introvert.
It seems to me you fall somewhere in-between the two. Fatigue after socialization impacts us all, in varying degrees, and not always the same way every time. Long-term heavy roleplay sometimes requires a significant amount of constitution but knowing when to take a step back and give yourself a break is equally important. This balance is something we strive to accommodate and share with others in Silver Circle, which is why none of our content is mandatory and why we assure all we interact with that arriving late or having to bow out of roleplay early is perfectly acceptable.
Your character sounds more developed than you initially let on, though I'm sure she has plenty more room to grow. Her current path toward the reclamation of kaldorei ancestral lands is also a strong interest commonly shared among many Silversworn. Have you been roleplaying on her long? You mentioned she was in another guild for some time, is that the guild she was originally training to become a sentinel in? And what do you think her future might hold, and how do you imagine she might come across the Silver Circle in her own adventures?
Please feel free to reach out to us in-game to get in touch! All of the events we have listed on our calendar are also open for you to attend. The next available event will take place on Sunday August 18th. It is a casual event hosted by one of our members, Luna Moonsaber. You are more than welcome to come to this event.
Hey, I really appreciate the quick response, and I should have been more clear. This character is probably the most recent character I have created, and I created her specifically to roleplay in The Ashen Hunt, which is the guild that I mentioned playing in directly before this one. She did most of her Sentinel training offscreen, as long ago as the Long Vigil depending on how long this guild's headcanon would dictate it to take for her to essentially complete her training. She has only actually existed for about a quarter of a year OOCly (I would have to check to give you an exact date.)
The Ashen Hunt was basically a neutral group that existed for the purpose of purging a group of (guild canon) islands of monsters and cultists and stuff, to make it safer to colonize. Most of the guild ended up being too busy to continue RPing, so they decided to finish the guild's last campaign and ICly dissolve the hunt as the island was safe to colonize, which was their IC goal. I created this character to join them because it was run by a few long standing friends that I have pretty much known since I started roleplaying.
While roleplaying in the Ashen Hunt I got increasingly interested in Night Elf lore, and with its dissolution I thought it would be a good opportunity to join a more thematically appropriate guild for this character.
As far as what the future holds for the character; I am not entirely certain. I have a lot of concepts in mind but I hadn't really planned on committing to any of them until I got a feel for the RP this guild participates in. I don't want this character to have a set in stone path because I want her interactions with others to be able to change her outlook and opinions, and those opinions/outlook could vastly change where the character ends up going.
I also think it would make a lot of sense for her to cross paths with the Silver Circle at some point, because she spends most of her time in Kalimdor, as she is ICly part of the Army of the Black Moon. She would also be very likely to seek out the Circle based on their exploits. I also find the concept of her seeking to join a group of renown defenders of Kalimdor and her first interaction being taking a cooking class, so I will try my be sure to make it to that event.
Thanks again for responding so quickly, and I'll also be sure to try to reach out in-game to maybe set up some quick casual RP before the event to try to have her random arrival be slightly less random.
Also, I will be regularly checking the site in case you have any more questions. If you would prefer to ask questions in game I will be getting home at around 12PM realm time, so feel free to /who Nadyssa at after that time. It's just Nadyssa with no alt codes.
Thanks for elaborating a bit more on her history! It surprises me she's so new, considering how in-depth her story seems to be so far. I also appreciate your preference for organic character development.
As for some RP, do go ahead and hit us up anytime in-game or using the forums here to let us know your availability! I look forward to meeting you in-game! Happy adventuring until then!
Hello Nadyssa! I wanted to thank you for coming to my events so far, and I hope to see you in my the campaign as well! It was very fun having you with us, and I loved how you put details on Nadyssa reactions and her emotions through the events. It really made her stand out in a great way. I definitely look forward to you becoming part of the Silver Circle!
Thank you, @Athaea! I have really enjoyed being a part of your recent events! Fighting the Forsaken gives me a really good chance to explore/show off Nadyssa's character due to her history with them. Plus, detailing some of a character's thoughts and fears, as well as their vulnerabilities really helps make them seem more like a real person with an actual personality, in my opinion. Nadyssa's visceral terror mixed with her optimism is a pretty fun contrast to roleplay. I just hope I'm not going too far with the emotions. It's reassuring to hear that you like my character though!
