Luna
Ishnu'alah Silver Circle!

I have had the wonderful experience of roleplaying with fellow members of the guild and attended some of your guild's events that I felt that it was time to introduce myself here in the guestbook. I play a level 120 Kaldorei Druid, Luna Moonsaber. She is the first roleplaying character that I made and started to roleplaying towards the end of Legion. I took a break from roleplaying in the past month and feel ready to come back!

Now onto the questions!

Touch of Elune
OOC: What about the kaldorei inspires you, and what is your favourite thing about them?
My first experience in World of Warcraft was my Kaldorei druid that I play now. I was drawn to the aesthetics, how they have deep connections to nature as well as how proud they are as a race. Even in recent events with the Burning of Teldrassil, the Kaldorei did not let this incident affect their people to cower in fear, it ignited a rage that united them to fight against those who caused this. It displays qualities of courage, endurance and resilience that is inspiring for me as a player as well as for my roleplaying character.

IC: What memory has the most impact on your character's life, and does it drive them today?
Luna looked downcast and closed her eyes. She took a breath, "What happened at Teldrassil still haunts my mind. The pain, the smell of burning wood, those who we lost... it stirred an emotion that was burning inside." Luna opened her eyes and gave a half smile, the memories still raw in her mind. "I felt myself wanting to take action, wanting to help those who suffered at great expenses. It was the catalyst for me to continue my studies and learn as much as I can. Hopefully, I can use my knowledge to help those around me for good and for our people."

Quickness
OOC: Describe your dream job or the hobbies you most enjoy and why.
My dream job is to either work for a large technology company such as Microsoft, Google or Apple doing Public Relations or internal communications. Plan B is to open my own Public Relations/Advertising agency. Hobbies that I seem to enjoy recently is baking and boxing. Both of them help me relax after a stressful day or if I am bored. I love to bake cheesecakes, brownies and muffins.

IC: What skills can your character teach and do they have any hidden talents?
Luna's mood shifted to a warmer tone. "When I was younger, my Min'da taught me how to cook and brew tea. It is some of the most vivid memories I have as a child. We would spend our time together foraging for food in the wilds, distinguishing different herbs for different purposes as well as how to prepare signature Kaldorei cuisines." Luna gave a wide smile, "I also love to cook for people as well. I love to see the enjoyment and their spirits lifted from homecooked food, but for hidden talents... I think... does tending to a grove count?" Luna gave a slight chuckle, clearly enjoying a light-hearted subject. "I can read tarot, is that a hidden talent? I haven't met a lot of people that read tarot. It is very fascinating!"

Nature Resistance
OOC: What personal strengths and weaknesses do you want to develop as a writer?
I feel as a writer that I am stagnant in how I write. I tend to find it challenging to write emotionally without it sounding very corny. I struggle to find the best way to show how a certain action or words affect Luna in a negative way. The way how I end up writing it sounds bland and plain. I want it to sound dramatic, to be moving for myself and the person that I choose to roleplay with. The qualities that I see strong in my writing is being able to adapt to different roleplay scenarios.

IC: Name one thing you love about your character and one thing you'd like to improve for them.
What I love about Luna is her ability to always look for the positives in any situation that may arise. From a young age, she was taught from both of her parents to focus on the brighter aspects when a disaster could arise around her. For Luna, she hates it when people are extremely unhappy or are too harsh on themselves. She believes that each individual should celebrate at least one unique aspect about them, even if it is as simple as liking their appearance or their talent. Luna, at the end of the day, wants everyone to be happy.

One thing that I would like Luna to improve is to not feel as those she is an outcast amongst other Kaldorei. From previous experiences, she belonged in a military cadre that at first was very welcoming for her. However, it went from Luna being involved in every detail to being shoved aside and considered her skills and her talents to be unworthy. She fears if she were to join another group or become a member of another community, that she will undergo this experience once more.

Wisp Spirit
OOC: Describe your hopes and expectations for your ideal roleplay community.
My hopes and expectations from my ideal roleplay community are to feel welcomed into space where I can be myself. I was in a roleplay community before and it was fine at first, but as time went along, I felt that I did not belong. I hope that I can bring ideas to a roleplay community that can help the overall roleplaying experience. I want to feel a part of a family and not just random strangers that I gather with once or twice a week.

IC: Is your character spiritual, and what made them that way?
Luna would nod her head, "It is important to me that I am spiritual. My An'da would remind me that every action that I make is a reflection on the goddess herself. I must do good and help that around me in any way can. I am also spiritual about the wilds. I feel deeply connected to nature around me. I spent most of my early childhood roaming around in forests of Mount Hyjal. It is a big influence on why I became a druid."

Shadowmeld
OOC: Are you an introvert or extrovert, and what does your ideal get together consist of?
I am an extrovert through and through. I do enjoy spending time alone when I get the chance, but most of my time is spent with friends or family. I love to be a part of celebrations and socialise with everyone from different walks of life. Recently, my get-togethers have been going for Korean BBQ and then following up with karaoke. It is a blast every time.

IC: Does your character like going on adventures or would they prefer to stay home and relax, why?
"I would love to go on adventures! I am always studying or reading books that would help me further my studies, so taking a break from that would be more than welcome. I want to go on long expeditions or even if it is just a little trip. I want to experience the world around me." Luna clasped her hands together, envisioning what adventures she would go someday.

Though I don't believe our characters have yet met ICly, your application makes the possibility enticing! One of the takeaways for me is the fact that you're looking for a community where you'll feel like you're involved in every way and belong just as much as anyone else. I'm happy to say that Silver Circle has been exactly that for me; more than a mere community, but a second family. Everyone is equally-valued here, and everyone has the same chance to be involved in the activities we take part in. Here's hoping we get to interact more and roleplay together in the future! 🍃

For sure! I would love that. I'm always around in Boralus or Val'sharah if you ever want to roleplay! It is good to hear from your experience in the Silver Circle, it confirms that I have made the right choice 💫
