I wanted to do one of these too, for my characters Sarynth Stormglaive and Kelyiara Ebonfall. And for myself too, for the OOC bits. Here goes!

Touch of Elune

OOC: What about the kaldorei inspires you, and what is your favorite thing about them?

I like to consider myself a feminist, so this goes right up that alley. A matriarchal society full of badass women feeds right into that. I don't usually care for elves, but the kaldorei are unique.

IC: What memory has the most impact on your character's life, and does it drive them today?

Sarynth: During the first War of the Shifting Sands, Sarynth was one of few survivors when the qiraji attacked her unit and caused the majority of them to be swallowed by the sands of Silithus. Lost was Sarynth's commanding officer and the priestess who strove to make her better than what she had been in the past. The incident thrust the burden of command upon Sarynth's shoulders and helped mold her into the Sentinel she has become to this day.

Kelyiara: The circumstances surrounding Kelyiara's death and reanimation as a death knight of the Scourge is the most impacting event of her 'life'. While under the control of the Lich King, Kelyiara's first act was to murder her sister. The last thing her sister did before her death was offer Kelyiara a blessing of the Goddess.

Following this event, and the recovery of her free will, Kelyiara re-devoted herself to the Goddess and strives to find a way to restore her connection to both Elune and her people.

OOC: Describe your dream job or the hobbies you most enjoy and why.

No dream job here, but I am a part of the historical re-enactment community as a Viking re-enactor. I have learned how to sew, leathercraft and woodwork since I picked up this hobby. Expensive hobby, but fun and exciting.

IC: What skills can your character teach and do they have any hidden talents?

Sarynth can teach someone how to be self-reliant, how to fight, basic combat triage. A hidden hobby, Sarynth is a stonemason.

Kelyiara can instruct anyone willing to learn in the ways of the Sisters of Elune, though, understandably, not many are willing to approach her for this particular tutelage.

Nature Resistance

OOC: What personal strengths and weaknesses do you want to develop as a writer?

I am very impatient when it comes to running gigs. Not intentionally, but I feel the need to hurry things along when I know I shouldn't. I need to stop that. Also, consistency in RP posts.

IC: Name one thing you love about your character, and one thing you'd like to improve for them.

Sarynth is the polar opposite of my character Asvi Swiftfoot, and where Asvi gets herself [ and me ] in trouble often, Sarynth tends to be more reserved, but on the flip side, she is harder to engage with many people. That's probably because she comes off as very rough. Softening her up a wee bit is a long-term goal, but it is what it is.

Kelyiara is extremely fun for me to play because of the duality of someone who is so faithful and devoted to her people and strives to represent the best of the kaldorei but... Is an undead abomination who serves up plague and pestilence to smite the enemies of the kaldorei. Hypocrisy at its finest!

For Kelyiara, trying to find the balance between the two clashing aspects of her own existence is extremely challenging, but very rewarding.

Wisp Spirit

IC: Is your character spiritual, and what made them that way?

Both Sarynth and Kelyiara are extremely spiritual. For Sarynth, a near-death experience flung her into the arms of her spiritual and parental figure, a priestess named Neirene Vineweaver, who pushed Sarynth back into the military and closer to the Sisters of Elune. This is the same priestess whose death impacted Sarynth's life during the War of the Shifting Sands.

Kelyiara was a priestess in life, and her death and subsequent reanimation, in addition to the incident involving her sister detailed above gave her the will and courage to continue her pursuit of the path of the Goddess.

OOC: Are you an introvert or extrovert, and what does your ideal get together consist of?

I am introverted, but extroverted when drinking or high. I hate small talk, so that never goes well with me. I can't really say what I idealize for a get together. It depends on who I am with.

IC: Does your character like going on adventures or would they prefer to stay home and relax, why?

Sarynth does not like being inactive. She would rather keep busy. Idle times let her mind wander, and that leads to self-destructive thoughts.

Kelyiara does not like to remain idle. Every second wasted is another second that the Endless Hunger can worm its way into her mind and threaten her with insanity. As such, Kelyiara is very active to combat the hysteria associated with the Hunger.
