This will mark the events of building and making the protections for the home base of the Silver Circle. Lor'danel. (Anyone who is apart of this project may post in here.)

Seldarine's speech to the council.

Dear Council, I have been talking to Sisters Oakwood and Wormwood, as well as Brother Aneldraen on how to defend our home town and the people of Lor’danel while we are away. We have come up with a design of magical armor for the Treants and Ancients that can protect them from magical damage. I don’t imagine most of our forest friends like fire, and i feel that we can help protect them from such forces. I know this project would take funds, but I am willing to give my own gold to help protect our town. I could use the help of Sister Oakwood and Brother Aneldraen with the arcane aspects of the armor. Where Sister Wormwood can help with the nature part of it. I believe we can make the armor with my knowledge from the Arcan’dor. Where it mixes between the arcane and nature of the tree itself. This will take some time, and will be a slow going project, but I believe it could help protect the city while we are away.

My idea mostly is a simple pendent, that the Treants and Ancients can wear. The Pendant itself can be worn around the neck, and will interact with the Treants will. It can form a magical shield around our woodland friends in a time of need.

The council approved.

(This relays the actions and events that happened for Field Test 1. No creatures where harmed in the making of this Test.)

Field Test 1.

Seldarine bow before Vigilant Protector, before looking to Moonfeathers, "I.. don't know how to speak Treant.." Moonfeathers blinks. “ Ah.” The druid said, before stating quietly. "This may be odd...but let's try." She said as bark began to grow along the top of her skin until a treant took her place. Seldarine blinked at Moonfeathers before looking at her in amazment. “Thats Amazing!” she stated.

Moonfeathers strolls right on up towards the ancient and a groaning noise leaves her mouth.
Some time pass before the ancient form started to shift from it's rest bringing up one foot follow with another shaking the ground. It's arms would swing to it's side. Moonfeathers stares quietly, watching the ancient unroot itself. It would gaze about before spotting the Isaria, Seldarine, and Aneldraen. It would then let out a groan looking to Isaria waiting. Moonfeathers stared back, a low and slow groaning sound leaving Isaria as well and shortly after. The ancient let out another groan before speaking slowly in the elven language, "What do you ask of me?"

Moonfeathers blinked, she did not need to be a treant! Well that was good, her forest talk was a bit rusty as she slowly broke free of the form. Seldarine would step forward, "Great one... We have a proposal for you... We wish to make you and your kin armor to help protect against magical threats such as fire and others."

"Armor? What do you propose?" The ancient once more speaking, "Our bark is strong and hard for only the strongest weapons can harm us. Fire is also only a nuisance for we can live on after being burned." Seldarine holds up a small pendent, "This pendent would cast a shield around you, making it harder for spells to hit you, and those around you." Moonfeathers listened quietly, her ear twitching slightly while those around her conversed.

“All you would have to do is wear it... and then it would work with your mind. You would tell it what to do with it.” Seldarine stated as she looked up at the Ancient.

"Tell me young one. Why would we wear the mark of corruption? It twists and harms all to the point of madness." The ancient would shift around the ground shaking as it adjusted itself. Seldarine raises a brow. "The arcane doe not harm one such as yourself.. it is a tool to be used. It will not corrupt you great one.. I have made sure of it." The ancient would turn to Isaria, "Do you believe so?"
Moonfeathers glanced towards Seldarine for a moment before regarding the ancient. "I believe this one speaks true, in my time with her she has proven worthy of faith. So when she comes to you with a means in which to help add to your already powerful protection. I believe she wishes to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you."

"Prove this will work ... show me it will work and I'll consider using this trinket you offer." The Ancient said. “What would you suggest?” Moonfeathers asked curiously. The ancient gazed to the three elfs, "Prove it does as you say. Show me it can save me from what my bark can't. Show me that fire and spells will not harm me and that it's corruption will not seep into me."
Moonfeathers nodded, "Very well, Sel?" Seldarine held out the amulet to the ancient, placing it in his hand. "We can secure it around your chest... but for now holding it in your hand should work for now."

The nightborn then looked at Aneldraen. “Aneldraen... when the ancient is ready... I need you to fire the most powerful fire spell you know at him.” The ancient wouldn't accept it, "I will not be your test." It started to say not looking happy, "If this is the only way of proving the worth of this item then I can not accept."

Moonfeathers stepped up, as she spoke. “Then I will prove it.” Seldarine looked to Isaria as she nodded. Seldarine took the pendent from the ancient and gave it to Isaria. Moonfeathers took hold of the pendant, "Whenever you are ready Aneldraen. Hit me with your best shot." Isaria said with the pendant clasped and her hands behind her back. Aneldraen raises his eyebrow inquisitively at Moonfeathers. “You sure Seldarine.” The mage asked. Seldarine nodded at Aneldraen.

Moonfeathers glanced towards Seldarine for a moment before looking to Aneldraen, "Call it a show of good faith. If one spell will save multitudes. It will be worth the effort." She paused, “So does it simply activate...or do I say something?” The druidess asked. “It will activate by itself.” Seldarine replied. “Ah, ok then.” said Moonfeathers.

Aneldraen would let out a long sigh before energy flair up around the man as ruines started to form under Aneldraen as fire started to form around his finger tips before slowly placing his hands together a hot ball of molten fire started to slowly form getting larger and larger before holding it and looking to Isaria waiting. Moonfeathers stared contently, watching the fire form in Aneldraen's hands as she waited. Aneldraen would throw the pyroblast at Isaria watching the event. Both the fire and the arcane shield that sprang up around Moon would meet in a clash. Both Holding out against the other as sparks flew from the clashing energies. Moonfeathers stares, part of her found the view rather neat honestly. She normally didn't get to stare at fire.
The shield would grow in size before pushing the fire away in a gust of arcane. The fireball fizzling to nothing. The arcane shield would fade before Moonfeather.

“Let me try a arcane spell.” Aneldraen stated. Moonfeathers tilted her head, "Very well."

“Do you mind?” the mage asked. Moonfeather replied, “I don't. I've taken a blast or two in my time.” Seldarine would prey to the goddess. The mage nodded, “May as well show it can work more than once.” Moonfeathers, nodded in agreement. “More than once is good.”

Aneldraen would charge up another spell and cast 'supernova' at Isaria trying to send the druid up in the air and back as well. The shield would from around Moonfeathers again protecting her from the Supernova, as the arcane energy sparked around her but did no damage. Aneldraen would summon up a ice lance and fire it at Isaria.Moonfeathers looked around herself, watching the arcane flare up to no affect around her. "Two for two...nicely done." The Shield would form again around Isaria breaking the ice as it hit upon its body. Moonfeathers blinks. She actually didn't expect the ice, but watching it shatter was oddly satisfying.

“How much can it handle?” The mage asked. Seldarine looked to Aneldraen. "Did you want to test it?" Aneldraen would hold out his fingers and send out five waves of arcane missiles. The shield would hold for the first, second, and third. The fourth spell would slip by it's guard and hit Isaria, before the shield would catch the fifth spell and shield its user.

“Isaria... are you ok?” Seldarine asked, Aneldraen asking at the same time. Moonfeathers grunted softly, one hitting but even as her position slid back a few inches from the impact outside of the sound she made Isaria continued to stare contently at Aneldraen. "Quite. Shoulder is a little sore, but it's expected." She said. “One last spell and I think the test can be done with.” Aneldraen said with a nod. “Very well.” Moonfeathers said.

Aneldraen would hold out his hands starting to draw in the air. Isaria would see before her a mark starting to form and start to assault the shield for six seconds before a large arcane detonation happen! The shield would from around Isaria, but the spell would hit hard, trying to hold up against the arcane spell. Before faltering. It would try to keep its form to protect Isaria, but it would be unable to protect the druid. Seldarine gave Moonfeathers and worried look.
“Isaria are you alright?” She asked.

Moonfeathers arched a brow, a stinging sensation occurring for the last second before the detonation which did send her skyward for a moment. Though as the explosion cleared a hulking pale white saber with feathers was in place of Isaria, it's fur alight with natural runes that looked to alleviate some of the damage. Aneldraen lets out a long, drawn-out sigh, as did Seldarine.

Moonfeathers rolled her neck, unshifting slowly as she looked to Aneldraen. "Remind me to remain on your good side." She finally said, "But, truth be told...After focused fire like that, I would have been pleasantly surprised to see a single ward hold off all that. For a first go I wouldn't call it a failure.” Aneldraen nods.

Seldarine looked to the Ancient. "Great one... would you consider this?" Moonfeathers looked quietly to the ancient. She had a bruise or two forming. But that was probably to be expected. All in all she looked no worse for the wear. The Ancient would watch the fight before its gaze would find Seldarine. It was quite before a groan could be heard the ancient moving about once more, "You have proven it does save off spells, but what about the arcane corruption?"

Moonfeather spoke first. “With proper care, and so long as the pendant and it's wards are maintained much like any other enchantment I don't believe the arcane would lead to corruption. Or perhaps if it had a way to be activated at will, that would even further limit any concern of corruption.”

Seldarine nodded in agreement. “We can do that.” she replied.

“As you would be able to decide for yourself if you needed the wards protection and not simply rely on your own protection.” Moonfeathers continued. The Ancient would look to Isaria before looking to Seldarine, "If you will look into this I'll accept your gift for now."

Seldarine bowed to the Ancient, “Thank you Great one.” Moonfeathers stepping beside the nightborn, and nodded. "I will see that it is."

"Was this all you need from me?" it would ask with a groan of creaking wood. “Yes, Great one.” Seldarine said, before watching the Ancient return to its resting position upon the path to Lor’danel.

Working away

Seldarine sat in the middle of a workshop, whittling down wooden amulets and encasing them in metal frames. The shal’dori smiling at her handy work, as the small pendants would glow slightly with the purple pulsations of arcane, only to be surrounded by a soft forest green of nature magic.

Finishing her present project the nightborn would set it down and walk away for a time. Other members of the community and those who had volunteered to help remained working on the defenses of Lor'danel. Seldarine would look down at herself, the women having bits of wood chips in her hair, and her hands bandaged from cuts and scrapes she had acquired. Seldarine had a soft smile of pride, as working with her hands was a rare thing back home. Most used magic to do even daily chores.

Finding a quiet spot the Shal’dori pulled out a piece of parchment and a feathered inked quill. The feathered quill floating above the page as it dictated Seldarine's speech.

Dear Keeper and my fellow Circle,

I’m sorry I've been elusive these past weeks. I've been working hard on the defenses for Lor'danel, which I feel are close to completion. The pendants are performing nicely, and so far I've seen no ill effect on the natural world.

Seldarine paused as she thought for a moment. The elf looking out the large airy opening, that showed off the city of Lor’danel. Seldarine would sigh happily as she watched Kaldorei and others walk the streets, before retrieving to her letter.

I hope to provide these defenses soon, within a week's time. The volunteers and community have been quiet helpful, as well as those of the Silver Circle. I look forward to returning to adventuring the world with you all as soon as the defenses have been properly set up. Elune guide your path.

Seldarine looked at the letter as she nodded in approval. She would then roll up the parchment and mark it with her signal. The nightborn then would hand her letter over to a local carrier owl, before it would be flown to Keeper Nightfury’s desk. Seldarine would then return back the the workshop, as she continued to work on the defenses.

Full letter without breaks.

*The words form on the page before you slowly and sluggishly. The color an almost sickly green, reflecting the writers state of being*

Seldarine sat in her bed, as she gave another hacking cough, covering her mouth with the crook of her elbow. The women then giving a delecute sniffle, before returning to the letter in her lap.

“Dear Keeper,” the letter began.

It appears the team has made great progress with the amulets to protect Lor'danel. Most have been completed and now are being retrofitted to the treants and the ancients. If all goes well we can start working on creating some for the Sentinels that guard our town as well.

Seldarine would let out a mouse like sneeze, that the enchanted pen would record on the letter.

ACHOO!

Sorry about that keeper, as you can maybe tell by my absence and this letter, that I have come down with something. After being inside a bubble for ten thousand years I’m surprised that only now I've gotten sick, after exploring the outside world. Elune be praised, I guess. With Elune willing, I will be back on my feet soon, and get back to working on the finishing touches of the pendents.

Goddess Light your path!

Seldarine Stardragon

Seldarine would lean back on her bed as the waves the letter away, it disappearing in a poof of shadowy smoke. It would then reappear on the Keepers desk, tied by pink arcane ribbons, and bearing Seldarine's seal.
